I think a lot about micro-blogging and information hierarchy. Quite often, the best way to learn something is not through traditional long-form content but through a "choose your own adventure" style of consuming information.
The reason for this is simple. Not every reader comes to the table with the same context. Some readers have an intimate understanding of the subject matter and just want to skim the cream off the top of the content to absorb what's new. Other readers have very little context and need to do a deeper dive into every chunk of content to fully absorb the subject matter.
I believe both of these use cases could be solved by presenting information in a multidimensional slideshow. So instead of being overly verbose for the pro and overly assuming for the noob, you can simply start by writing for the pro. Then every piece of information is expandable. So you start further clarify every piece of information for the noob as mini slideshows on the x-axis.
Here is my initial prototype. Test it on codepen.
